Child Trafficking – A societal iniquity
Child trafficking is a common dilemma afflicting not only underdeveloped countries, but developed nations too. This stigma has continued to burgeon by the day. Children are trafficked every year across borders and within their own countries. They are abducted, mesmerised, trounced and made to beg or work in factories in exchange for a pittance. The quandary faced by the girl child is even more perilous as she is often subjugated to recurrent physical abuse.
What is most appalling is that an alarming number of our erudite population employ juveniles for menial tasks. Child trafficking is barbaric and cruel. It is a heinous offence and should be instantaneously controlled.
Child trafficking is increasing at a disquieting rate in India, and I believe it is up to each one of us to take stock of the situation and eradicate this menace irreversibly.
