S.Harish kumar a 2nd Year MBA student specializing in HR and Finance gives us an insight to his day at ISBR Chennai.

A B-School gives the projection for the student in the management field to introspect and evaluate, to learn and experience and of course to share and enjoy. ISBR B-School Chennai is a management school through which you can paint a beautiful future and behold your dreams. When I finished my graduation; I was keeping a tab on every B-School and I did not find the edge till I got a great opportunity as a student at ISBR. It was a proud moment for me. The USP of ISBR B-School is that it follows a holistic approach that is an essential part for students these days.

When you enter the world of ISBR everyday, you can find the most expensive gift in the form of knowledge. The beginning of a day’s session at 9 am is a time to participate and cherish intellectual discussions with friends and faculty, where every class is more like an opportunity to elicit maximum knowledge from them. Ninety minutes per session is the world for us, we love to interact with our faculty after the class, and we would not leave them alone until we are satisfied with the answer. When the day comes to a close at 5 pm, the introspection does not end till we reach home. The question ‘what did I learn today?’ still continues at the end of the day .

An overall development is the need of the hour in the corporate world and what makes ISBR so unique is in its teaching pedagogy – be it case studies, classes, guest lectures, social activities all carried out by the best faculty team available in academics. It’s been more than a year that I have joined ISBR - there has been so much of learning. One of greatest advantages that I feel about this institution is this sense of camaraderie and belongingness. At ISBR there is always something you can do and you don’t find time to get bored. It’s more like a mini-India where you have people from every background and from different states, you share thoughts, you understand things and you bridge any perceived the gap. The college gives ample scope to innovate and nurture team spirit and not to forget the innumerable parties that we had so far, (and many more to come!) makes it all a riot of fun interspersed with invaluable learning doing it.

ISBR teaches a person about life with marketing insights and a million odd theories in organizational behavior; you also learn to be mature, self reliant and also somewhere down the line, the entire gamut of events and happenings around you make you focused. The moment of realization about what you are, what you have to become and how you have to come out with flying colors is the most cherished aspect of learning by having fun.
