Marketing training programme launched by IIM A for UK SMEs

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has launched a training programme for UK based small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on “ Indian Marketing Strategies”. This will be a week long training programme.
The SMEs participating in the training programme represent a wide range of sectors which includes telecom, information security, FMCG, safety, health and education services, pharmaceuticals, publishing and Internet software. They will be represented by Managing directors, chief executive officers and several heads of companies The turnover of the units ranges from 500,000 to 30 million pound sterling (about Rs 4-224 crore).
Several issues like diversity of businesses, pricing strategies in India, venture capital and government regulations would be covered under the programme. The aim of the programme is to provide dynamics of the Indian market to UK-based SMEs before they set up their businesses in India. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative by IIM-A.
