XIM-B concludes final placements

The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar achieved 100% placements for its PGDM batch of 2009 in the recently concluded placement session. According to reports, around 54 companies participated in Xuberance 2009, the final placement session at XIM-B. The average salary for the batch was Rs.7.3 lakh per annum while the median salary stood at Rs. 7.5 lakh per annum. Students of the 2009 batch got  33 Pre-Placement Offers and interviews. The highest offer made was Rs16 Lakh per annum.

Some of the prominent recruiters this year were Godrej, Tata Group HR, Coca Cola, Cognizant Technologies, Deloitte Consulting, Ernst and Young, Hewlett Packard, TCS, Societe Generale, Axis Bank, SBI, SBI Caps, Tata Steel, IMRB, Cavin Kare, Bank of Baroda. IDBI Bank. SEBI, Indian Oil Corporation, Genpact, Vodafone, Idea, Tata Teleservices, ICI Paints, HSBC Global , Kalinga Soft etc.

32% of the batch opted for roles in the Finance sector, 23% for marketing, 18% for systems, 8% for HR while 7% of students opted for consulting and general management areas respectively. 5% of the students accepted offers in the area of operations management.
