IIM C's Nostalgia 2009

IIM Calcutta's alumni reunion which is held every year in the Month of May 'Nostalgia 2009' is being organized on the last weekend of May (except New Delhi which would be on 23rd May) at 9 locations across the world which includes London, Hong Kong, Mumbai and New Delhi. The IIM Calcutta reunion  is a chance for its well spread out alumni, to reconnect to its roots.

Alumni reunion events provide an opportunity to the students to interact with the alumni who have carved out a niche for themselves. The pearls of wisdom shared by the alumni make it a great learning experience for the ‘to be managers’, and provides them with a perspective of life.

For the alumni it is a chance to recollect the old times spent at ‘Joka’, where they have spent the most wonderful and exciting two years of their lives. Keeping in line with this, a video and collection of photographs has been circulated to update them about the happenings on their campus over the last year.

The evening would begin with a welcome speech, which would be followed by a students’ presentation especially for the alumni. Next up would be a speech by one of IIM Calcutta’s most respected personalities Professor Biswatosh Saha, which would be shown across all centers. This would be followed by a gala dinner party.

Besides Nostalgia, IIM Calcutta invites the silver jubilee batch every year for an on-campus alumni reunion named ‘Reminiscence’.
