IIM Bangalore announces admissions to post graduate program in software enterprise management (PGSEM)

IIM Bangalore has invited applications for admissions to the PGSEM - a program designed for practicing executives. Interested applicants must be either working in the IT/ITES industry, or must be part of IT division of an industry.

ELIGIBILITY

1. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification entailing a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Diploma holders cannot apply to this program unless they also possess a Bachelors degree.
2. Applicants need to have a minimum of two years’ experience in the IT industry as on June 1, 2010

SELECTION PROCESS

For the PGSEM batch starting 2010, applicants must mandatorily choose any one of the following three tests for admission:

1. Applicants may take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted jointly by the IIMs and indicate that they want to apply for the PGSEM in the CAT Application Form.
2. Applicants may take the GMAT. Applicants who have already taken the test may attach a copy of their GMAT scores along with the application. Scores of GMAT taken after 1/1/2007 are valid.
3. IIMB will conduct a PGSEM Test in Bangalore on Sunday, February 14, 2010.

Final selection will be made based on prior academic performance, duration and nature of work experience, CAT/GMAT test scores, and performance in the interview.

HOW TO APPLY?

Applications to the PGSEM program can only be made online. Paper applications forms are not available.

Following is a checklist of items that you must have before you start the Application Process.

1. A digital photograph. (Image size between 110X110 and 800x600 Pixels in JPG format with file size less than 2MB) 
2. Your credit/debit details card, for online payments of application fees.
3. Your Bank Draft details for offline payment of application fees. (You need to enter the bank draft details in the application form)
4. Your education and work experience details.
5. If you are applying using GMAT Scores, Please make sure you have the score card.
6. Your pan card number or driving license number.
7. Candidates applying through CAT should send a copy of the CAT 2009 Admit card to       IIM Bangalore, indicating their PGSEM Application Number
