JMET 2010

Students have been invited to apply for The Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) 2010  which is the first step in the process of admission to the two year fulltime Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by the IITs and the Indian Institute of Science(IISc). Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

JMET is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. JMET 2010 Application Form has to be submitted on line. Online submission of application can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose either by core banking or demand draft (http://gateonline.gateiisc.in/jmet_web_2010/how_to_apply/how_to_apply.html)

The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. After applying on line, there are some documents that you will have to post to the "Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012"(for information check the gateonline.gateiisc website)

The on line application form submission will commence from September 7th 2009. The last date for submission of forms(on line) is the 9th of October 2009 and 16th of October 2009 for receipt of completed on line application forms at IISc, Bangalore.
