IGNOU announces admissions for Degree/Diploma Programmes in Management

IGNOU has invited applications for the following distance - learning programmes:
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- Diploma in Management (DIM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)
ELIGIBILITY
- Graduation in any discipline with 50 % marks for general category and 45% for Reserved Category.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience
OR Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law/Pharmacy OR Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretaryship, etc. OR Master’s degree in any subject.
- Non-graduates with 6 years of managerial/supervisory/professional experience are also eligible taking admissions into Diploma in Management (DIM) only after clearing the entrance test.
- Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU
OR
Clearance of any Management Entrance Test with 40 % marks conducted by Institutions other than IGNOU (CAT/MAT/State Level Tests). The results of any examination body, which does not reflect the score in terms of percentage, will not be considered. Candidates in such cases will have to appear in the OPENMAT.
ENTRANCE TEST
Admission to Management Programmes of IGNOU is done through OPENMAT Entrance Examinations, held twice a year on the first Sunday of February and first Sunday of August.
For appearing in the entrance test (OPENMAT), a student has to fill up the Application form for the OPENMAT Entrance Test, which is a part of the Student Handbook and Prospectus.
The first test of 2010 will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2010.
Filled in form for Entrance test OPENMAT –XXVII must reach, the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068 by Registered Post / Speed Post on or before 10th January, 2010.
HOW TO APPLY?
This ‘Student Handbook & Prospectus’ would be available from the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110 068 and at all Regional Centres, Study Centres, and IGNOUARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE AND ASSAM RIFLES Recognised Regional Centres.
The Student Handbook and Prospectus is also available on the university’s website http://www.ignou.ac.in/ Candidates may download the Form from the website in which case they are required to send a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- (drawn in favour of IGNOU), payable at New Delhi, by Registered/Speed Post to Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068. Advertisements inviting applications for the management programmes offered by IGNOU are released in leading national and local dailies in April and October.
Walk in Admission (Management Programmes only)
Candidates who qualify in the entrance test can submit the registration form (Form-2) which is available in the ‘Student Handbook and & Prospectus’ along with the Hall Ticket of the entrance test to the respective Regional Centres along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of result card for admission cycle starting from July, 2010.
