NMIMS reassures candidates about on line NMAT

In the view of recent technical problems which has occurred in the CAT computer based test, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies(NMIMS) which would be conducting an on line entrance test starting this year has released an assurance note to all the candidates.
“In the view of technical problems appeared during a recent online test for MBA, NMIMS, today advised candidates to not to get worried for ‘online test’ NMAT 2010.
Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, through a press release, informed that NMIMS is taking all the possible preventive measures to ensure the smooth operation of the NMAT 2010.
He said that, “the contract for conducting the NMAT 2010 online exam has been given Pearson Vue, the company that conducts the GMAT exam. We will be sanitizing all the labs where students will appear for NMAT on line. Labs will be sealed three days prior to the test. Also a prior dry run will be carried out in the first week of January for our students. NMIMS has identified the problems that could occur at all levels, including the registration of candidates, confirmation of those who have registered, administration of the test and the declaration of results”.
There will be a mock test before the NMAT 2010, for which candidate would be informed by email. All hardware, software is being checked and stress test is being carried out to ensure that there is no hard ship to candidates at the time of log in or while taking the exam. All candidates are being asked to report at least 45 minutes before the test starts. Full backup of the test is going to be maintained. Full backup for power failure etc. will be arranged.”
NMAT 2010 has been scheduled between January 30, 2010 to February 8, 2010. Registrations for the test closed on December 6.
