Techie from Bangalore takes IIMs to court

A 26-year-old techie from Bangalore has taken the IIMs to court over the CAT fiasco and called for a pen-and-paper retest. He has filed a writ petition in the Karnataka high court on January 2 and asked the court to cancel the test and reconduct CAT 2009 in pen-and paper format. The petition points out the various administrative irregularities, and how some students got extra time while others didn’t. Note has been made of the fact that invigilators were not trained to deal with the technical glitches and in spite of a disclaimer put up on the CAT website by IIMs, many questions were shared via the Internet so that students at later dates enjoyed an advantage.
