MAT goes on line

Management Aptitude Test(MAT) conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) will be an on line affair like the CAT starting this September. The Test has been scheduled in the September. AIMA has however not scrapped the paper-pencil format of the test which would take place on September 6th 2009 . The Computer Based Test(CBT) will however be held from September 7th onwards at different time slots and at different test centers specified on the AIMA website. Candidates can either choose to appear for the pencil-paper format or the on line test, however if the number of applicants for the CBT are few then all candidates would be required to appear for the pencil-paper format.
Computer Based On line test means the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate submits the answers through the use of keyboard or mouse. Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer.
Applicants can obtain the form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 980/- from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, listed Study Centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi. Candidates need to then obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1050/- in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. The last date for sale of forms /on line registration is August 10, 2009.
For results, candidates may view/download the MAT Score from AIMA website http://www.aima-ind.org after 3 weeks from the date of the test. 172 colleges and universities of the country are participating in the test and thus accepting MAT scores to admit candidates for their management programmes.
