IRMA admissions for 2010-12

Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Anand has invited applications from aspirants who wish to enroll for the two year Postgraduate programme in rural management (PRM) for the 31st batch (2010-12) and the Fellow programme in rural management (FRM) for the 9th batch(2010) and the certificate programme in dairy management(CPDM 2010). The PRM is a residential programme with course work divided into four segments, Classroom; Fieldwork; organizational understanding and management training.
The FRM is a doctoral programme with a requirement for residency of a minimum of three years. It offers a specialization in fields such as, Management of collectives; Agribusiness/Rural Marketing; Natural resources management; development management; Micro-finance management, governance and livelihoods; rural infrastructure and services management; public policy and non-profit management.
Graduate with 15 years(10+2+3) of education from any discipline and having a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or the equivalent GPA from a recognized Indian or foreign university can apply for the PRM programme. Post graduates from any discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks can apply for the FRM programme. The tuition fee for the PRM programme is Rs. 3 Lakh for the entire two year duration.
The PRM candidates are selected on the basis of a written test, group discussion and interview. Where as the FRM applicants are screened on the basis of the written test, group discussion and presentation of an essay.
Applicants can obtain the application forms either from IRMA on payment of full examination fee (via DD in favor of IRMA, Anand)or from IMS centers across the country (for one programme) or one can apply on line and make the payment through a gateway. The candidate can apply for one/two/three programmes. The examination fee for one/two/three programmes are Rs.1000/1,500/1,800/- respectively. The amounts specified are for the general and OBC candidates.
The written test would be conducted on November 8th 2009. The last date to submit duly filled application forms is September 30th 2009. |
