Nirma University Institute of Management announces admissions for MBA

Institute of Management previously known as Nirma Institute of Management is a constituent of the distinguished Nirma University of Science and Technology. The Institute was established in 1996 with a view to promote excellence in management education and to prepare young men & women to meet the challenges of the developing corporate world. The Institute has invited applications for two-year full time MBA program approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Number of seats available is 180. Fifteen percent of the intake is likely to be reserved for admission to NRI/NRI sponsored students. Over and above fifteen percent seats are also allocated to Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Students/Children of Indian workers of Gulf countries and South East Asia.

ELIGIBILITY

The minimum eligibility criterion is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Students appearing in the final examination of a bachelor’s degree can also apply.

HOW TO APPLY?

Application forms are available by sending a DD of Rs.1,500/- in favour of "Institute of Management, Nirma University" payable at Ahmedabad, addressed to: Deputy Registrar Institute of Management Nirma University of Science and Technology
Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway Ahmedabad - 382 481 (Gujarat) India.

Application forms can also be directly obtained either from the Institute or from different centres of IMS Learning Resources, T.I.M.E, and Career Launcher or from selected branches of AXIS Bank.
The candidates can also download the application from the website and send the filled-in application form along with a DD for Rs.1,500/-. Completed application forms must reach the Institute by January 15, 2010.

SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants for the full-time programme are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT-2009) conducted by the IIMs, group discussion and personal interview.
The following weightage will be given for each component of the selection criteria   1.Written Test: 70%
2. Personal Interview: 20%
3. Group Discussion: 10%

FEES
Tuition Fees: Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum
