MET Annual Convocation 2010
MET League of Colleges held the MET Annual Convocation 2010 on September 4, 2010. Kishor A Chaukar, MD, Tata Industries Ltd, was the Chief Guest for the Convocation. Other dignitaries who were present during the occasion included T R Doongaji, Former MD, Tatasons; Sunil G Karve, Founder Trustee and Vice Chairman, MET and Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET.
The convocation was declared open by Sunil Karve, who is widely acclaimed as a prominent educationist and academia expert. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “We believe, the biggest and most profound learning we have given MET students has been the lessons they have imbibed outside the text books. These include lessons in life management, the importance of values, the strength of an upright character and the ability to make a difference. In the ultimate analysis, these are the qualifications that set you apart’.
Kishor Chaukar while delivering the convocation address said, “It gives me great pleasure to participate in the convocation ceremony of the budding professions of tomorrow who are representatives of our future. I heartily congratulate the students who have graduated from this coveted institute. PGDM is a prestigious degree with salary potential and career advancement. The institute has definitely instilled the power in you to be successful managers of tomorrow. The role of budding managers will fuel India’s economic growth in a sustained manner. I would like to summarise my learning of 40 years by saying that character, communication and commitment are the three pillars for success. I wish you all a very successful career ahead.”
Students from the Management, Mass Media, Insurance and PGDM e-business programmes were felicitated at this grand prestigious occasion. The highlight of the ceremony was the MET professional oath in which the students of batch of 2010 pledged their qualification to ethical practice and to the service of the nation.
