10+2’s to get an Integrated MBA
Students who have completed 10+2 years of education now have an opportunity of doing a five-year integrated MBA programme at the Coimbatore Gandhipuram Centre of Alagappa University starting this year through its distance education programme. The candidate who completes the first year gets a certificate in Business Administration. After completion of second year, a diploma in Business Administration will be awarded. After third year, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration will be awarded. At the end of the fourth year, the candidate will get a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration while at the end of the final year, a full-fledged MBA degree will be awarded to the candidate.
The MBA will be offered in the general stream, human resource management, international business, corporate secretaryship, banking and finance, project management, investment management, hospital management, education management and tourism.
The fee for the five-year course is broken up as follows:
Year 1: Rs 3000
Year 2: Rs. 4,000
Year 3: Rs.5000
Year 4: Rs.8000
Year 5: Rs. 8000
Interested candidates can avail application forms online or from the approved study centers (for information, log on to www.alagappauniversity.ac.in ). The application forms can be purchased for Rs 300. Enrollment can be done directly with the university or through the study centers. The course fee has to be sent in the form of a demand draft along with the necessary documents to the university or to the study centres. The last date for issue and receipt of applications to all the courses is March 15, 2009.
