IRMA offers admission to the following programmes:
32nd POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME IN RURAL MANAGEMENT (PRM -2011-13) PRM is two-year fully residential postgraduate programme comprising four different segments – classroom, fieldwork, organisational understanding and management training. PRM is recognized as equivalent to Master’s Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Graduates in any discipline with minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having 50 % [45% for SC/ST/PwD* (Person with disability)] aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from a recognized Indian or foreign university/institution are eligible to apply. Candidates who expect to fulfill the eligible requirement before, June 6, 2011 may also apply. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Fee Structure The total programme cost over the period of two years (inclusive of tuition fees and service charges) is estimated to be about Rs. 4 lakhs. Costs for students are kept low through cross subsidisation.
Scholarships and Loan Exemption for fee and prestigious scholarships are available for deserving students. IRMA students get loan from SBI without any collateral.
Campus Placement IRMA facilitates meaningful placement opportunities for its students. IRMAns are highly valued by national and international development organisations, funding agencies, co-operatives and NGOs. The campus placements (100%) offer ideal combination of job satisfaction and decent compensation. PRM 2008-10 participants received an average annual salary of Rs. 6 lakh (Highest being Rs.9.45 lakh).
10th FELLOW PROGRAMME IN RURAL MANAGEMENT (FPRM 2011) FPRM is a coursework based doctoral programme with a residency requirement of minimum three years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Thematic fields of specialization: a) Management of Collectives, b) Agribusiness/Rural Marketing, c) Natural Resource Management, d) Development Management, e) Micro-Finance Management, f) Governance and Livelihoods, g) Rural Infrastructure and Services Management and h) Public Policy and Non-Profit Management.
Eligibility Candidates with any one of the following: 1) Post graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution with 55% marks, and 50% marks at graduation level. 2) PRM from IRMA 3) Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience. 4) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, and architecture etc.) with 60% marks eligible for admission to FPRM. SC/ST//OBC/PwD* candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Candidates, who expect to fulfill the eligible requirements before June 6, 2011 may also apply.
Fellowship Every FPRM participants receives fellowships of Rs. 14,000/- per month till they clear Comprehensive Qualifying Examination and then Rs. 16,000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- per year for a period of four years. Placement Graduating fellows have joined faculty positions in IIMs, and other reputed institutions/universities.
SELECTION PROCEDURE A written test common for all the above programmes will be conducted on November 14, 2010 – Sunday (09.15-12.15 hour) at 27 centres across India. PRM participants are selected on the basis of written test, group discussion and interview. FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, interview and presentation of an essay. Candidates with PRM qualification from IRMA applying for FPRM are exempt from the written test. IRMA has positive discrimination policies for admissions to disadvantaged sections of the society.

HOW TO APPLY? An applicant can opt for one of the following options: a. Apply online and pay through a payment gateway after August 10, 2010. b. Make payment at any branch of IMS Centre after August 10, 2010; after getting IMS receipt, apply through IRMA website using the receipt number. c. Take a printout of SBI Challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBI by using the Challan. SBI will then issue an unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website. SBI Challan will be available after August 10, 2010. d. Printed application material (prospectus, application forms, etc) may be obtained from Admissions office, IRMA, Anand -388 001 on payment of full fees.Apply after August 10, 2010. Prospectus and sample question papers will be sent to candidates opting for option a and c after their application is received at IRMA. It is compulsory for all applicants to send a hardcopy of application form at the Admissions Office, IRMA Anand - 388 001, Gujarat. Those applicants, who are using option b or c, are required to attach IMS receipt or SBI challan respectively with application form.
